Road Trip: Mammoth Geyser - June 25, 2008
Eric and I took a walk at Mammoth Geyser. It was only after we hiked up the step-like terraces that we found out we could have avoided the walk by parking at the top. At the bottom of Mammoth Geyser is the Liberty Cap--a 45-foot cone made out of dense layers of limstone. At the top are emence colorful and ornate geysers.
