Eric and I took a short walk around the one-mile trail that loops around Horseshoe Lake. Located in Skyline Ridge Open Space Reserve, Horseshoe Lake is within a short walking distance of the main parking lot. There is also a handicap parking lot for the mobility challenged. We saw much wild life (although I wasn't fast enough to get pictures of everything), including bees, an alligator lizard, more lizards, butterflies, and a red-winged black bird.
