Eric and I along with my younger daughter, Jeanie, and her new boyfriend, Rudy visited the Maker Faire. It was the fourth time Eric and I have been to the faire, having been going to the faire since its inception. It was the first time for Jeanie and Rudy. Over these past four years, the faire has grown continually from a fun place for engineers to show off their latest projects to a low-budget amusement park for families to bring their kids to see and play with the latest and strangest gadgets imaginable. In the words of the Maker Faire team, "Maker Faire is a two-day, family-friendly event that celebrates the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for creative, resourceful people of all ages and backgrounds who like to tinker and love to make things."
Eric and I wandered around the faire, looking at all the new gadgets. Jeanie and Rudy spent most of their time making crafts.
