Eric led another hike at Gazos Creek to see the elephant seals on Superbowl Sunday. There were even more seals lying on the beach this year than last year. The males seals are lying on the beach, exhausted from having fought for their mates. It's the male seals who lost who are on the shore. Some of them were so worn out they could barely move. We were able to get very close to them this year.
